Introduction
We are seeking a Product Manager – Filter Cloths to join the SVS/BDH/Filtration Product Group. You will be responsible for the strategy, business, and performance of your portion of the Metso Filter Cloth product range by integrating customer and market needs, manufacturing and partner excellence, and our sales network and capabilities to drive Metso Filtration Cloths business growth.
In this role, you will report to Product Director in Filtration Services.
This position is located at Vadodara, Gujarat, India. This is a global role and will include international travel at times.
Team you belong to
You will join a team of global Filtration Product Managers, passionately driving the leading filtration products and offerings for the current and future success of Metso Filtration, in Services and as a segment.
We work closely with internal stakeholders, such as Product Commercial Support/Sales, Filtration BL in Minerals, BDH Community, Sourcing, global and market area technical support, and Marketing. In this role, our partner network is also a key stakeholder group, and you will also work closely with our customers.
The members of our team are mostly located in Finland (Lappeenranta and Espoo), but some colleagues are globally spread as well.
What You’ll Do
· Own Product and Strategy for the defined product scope within Metso Filter Cloths
· Collect market, customer & competition landscape intelligence
· Follow and report product performance (commercial and technical), including customer feedback
· Create and maintain products and offerings within your scope, for both Services and CAPEX use
· Enable sales by providing sufficient sales support tools, marketing materials, and product advisory for stakeholders within Metso
· Manage and develop external partners and vendors
· Product co-development management; R&D and continuous improvement
· Volume and demand estimation towards manufacturing
· Support and troubleshooting
· Cost management with Sourcing
· Passionately drive Metso and Metso Filtration success as part of the Metso Filtration Family, with the best possible filtration performance, customer experience, and sustainability in mind
Who You Are
· MBA or alternatively M.Sc. or equivalent degree with engineering/commercial studies
· Business-oriented mindset, with an understanding of technical and industrial topics at a minimum high level
· 10+ years of work experience in B2B/industrial businesses, especially within mining and heavy industries
· Previous exposure to filtration, filtration technologies, filter media, or filter cloths is seen as an asset
· Fluent English language skills – written and spoken are a must in this role
· Ability to act as a collaborative leader for your own topics, including excellent communication skills, ability to present internally and externally, equipped with strong global behavior and cultural skills
· Readiness for irregular but not excessive international travel
· Flexibility in working hours occasionally – early mornings and late evenings due to global exposure
