Product Manager - E&S Homeowners

Job Description

Job Summary:

Ascension is seeking a Product Manager to lead the development and performance management of homeowners insurance products and programs. This role is critical in identifying market opportunities, enhancing current offerings, and managing relationships with third-party administrators to support growth and profitability. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, Personal Lines Programs, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing product strategy across multiple geographies and partnerships.

Responsibilities:

Oversee multiple portfolios of property and casualty program business, including direct engagement with Underwriting to drive profitability and premium growth in target markets.Lead initiatives to design and improve homeowners’ insurance products, including rate development, underwriting guidelines, policy forms, and automation strategies.Utilize market intelligence, internal data, and financial analysis to identify performance gaps, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend actionable solutions to improve results.Foster Innovation: Evangelize the latest AI and data-driven practices, pushing boundaries to create forward-thinking solutions.Champion Retail Agent User Experience: Oversee product enhancements that make the user experience smoother, more intuitive, and more compelling.Design and implement analytical models to evaluate risk factors, pricing implications, and coverage considerations for specialized insurance scenarios.

Requirements:

Prior experience with Homeowners insurance products, particularly in complex or catastrophe-prone markets, and a track record of managing programs or portfolios to strong outcomes.Proven ability to interpret data, perform financial and root cause analysis, and translate findings into strategic initiatives that impact top- and bottom-line performance.Experience managing cross-functional initiatives and coordinating with compliance, product development, and systems teams to implement product changes effectively.Comfortable in a fast-paced environment—ability to balance multiple priorities.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Finance, or related field (MBA a plus) or equivalent experience.7+ years of product management, underwriting, or portfolio management experience in property & casualty insurance, preferably homeowners or E&S markets.Proven track record in developing, pricing, and managing insurance products, with strong analytical and financial skills.Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with Underwriting, Actuarial, Compliance, Sales and Technology teams.

Physical Demands:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

The base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $175,000 annually. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Pay Details:

The base compensation range for this position is $125,000 - $175,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.
