Job Summary:

As a Product Manager – Cabs, you will lead the strategic direction, development, and lifecycle management of cab systems across multiple machine platforms. This role is pivotal in delivering customer-centric solutions that enhance operator experience, safety, and productivity.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, marketing, and dealer networks to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful execution from concept to market. Your work will directly influence the design and integration of cab technologies, including HVAC, controls, ergonomics, visibility, and electronic systems.

What You Will Do:

Define and drive the product roadmap for cab systems aligned with customer needs and enterprise goals.Lead cross-functional teams through product development cycles, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets are met.Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy.Advocate for cab system innovations that improve operator comfort, safety, and machine performance.Manage product lifecycle activities including NPI (New Product Introduction), CPI (Continuous Product Improvement), service strategies, and end-of-life planning.Partner with dealers and customers to gather insights and validate product concepts.Monitor product performance and support issue resolution through collaboration with engineering and product support teams.Drive collaboration across RI and CI to enhance user experience by providing consistent and intuitive operator interface(s)

Education requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute multi-year product strategies aligned with enterprise goals.Knowledge analyzing market trends and translating insights into actionable product plans.Proficiency in balancing short-term deliverables with long-term innovation and growth.Skilled in scenario planning and risk assessment to guide decision-making under uncertainty.

Knowledge of Product Line:

Deep understanding of cab systems, including HVAC, ergonomics, visibility, and operator interfacesProven working knowledge managing product lifecycle from concept through end-of-life within a complex portfolio.Knowledge of a variety of manufacturing methods including fabrication, assembly, electrical testing and leak testing.Familiarity with Caterpillar’s machine platforms and how cab systems integrate across product families.

Producing Results:

Track record of delivering successful product launches on time and within budget.Knowledge setting and achieving KPIs related to product performance, cost, and customer satisfaction.Ability to lead cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.Skilled in managing competing priorities and resources to meet business objectives.

Knowledge of Customers:

Knowledge gathering and synthesizing customer feedback to inform product design and enhancements.Strong understanding of operator needs, dealer expectations, and fleet management challenges.Ability to translate customer pain points into product requirements and value propositions.Proven success in building relationships with key customers and stakeholders to validate product direction.

Additional Information:    

This position requires the candidate to work onsite five days a week, preferably at the Mossville, IL facility; however, other Caterpillar locations may be considered based on business needs and candidate alignment.

Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

This position may require up to 25% travel.

Summary Pay Range:

$169,320.00 - $253,920.00
