Product Manager (AVOD)
Job Description Our client is seeking an experienced and technically minded Product Manager to drive the development of platform services that power our streaming experiences. You will help lead key initiatives that enable discovery, playback, and monetization of both ad-supported (AVOD) and transactional (TVOD) content across our client's platforms and partner integrations. This is a high-impact role supporting both customer-facing features and internal capabilities. Job Responsibilities Own the requirements for backend services such as catalog, entitlements, metadata, and content delivery. Collaborate with Engineering, Platform, Design, Business Development, and other Product Managers to ensure backend systems meet cross-functional needs. Drive technical product decisions that balance scalability, flexibility, and performance. Manage third-party partner integrations, including catalog and metadata feeds. Write detailed product and functional specifications for engineering and QA teams. Manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment and transparency across cross-functional stakeholders. Stay current on industry trends in video streaming technology, server-side ad insertion (SSAI), DRM, and metadata management. Skills and Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical fieldor equivalent practical experience. 3 to 5 years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on platform, API, or backend systems. Deep understanding of video streaming workflows, DRM, metadata services, and ad-supported/transactional video monetization. Proven ability to lead technical products from concept through launch and iteration. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to align business, engineering, and product stakeholders. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to technical detail.
