About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 12 The Role: As a Product Manager, you will define and lead the strategic direction, roadmap, and evolution of a key product area within S&P Global Ratings. You’ll operate at the Agile Release Train (ART) level, managing cross-functional delivery with a design flow orientation that aligns with enterprise strategy and delivers measurable value to our global users. Key Responsibilities: Define, evolve, and communicate the product vision and strategy aligned with end-to-end workflows, future-state architecture, and business objectives. Manage and develop a team of talented Product Owners, supporting both their ability to execute and grow. Lead the roadmap for the ART, partnering with Value Stream leaders and stakeholders across regions to ensure scalable, unified outcomes. Guide platform evolution with a holistic understanding of user journeys, process efficiencies, data flows, and customer experience. Own and manage the program backlog: define Features, prioritize using WSJF, and ensure MVPs are scoped and aligned to Definition of Ready (DoR). Validate feature development against acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements; approve for release and support post-launch feedback loops. Participate in System Demos, continuously gather user input, and feed insights into future releases and roadmap updates. Drive ART readiness for PI Planning by coordinating across Product Owners, Architects, and Business Owners to align scope and objectives. Ensure visibility through tools and forums such as program dashboards, PI tracking, and demos to communicate status, risks, and value delivered. Lead trade-off decisions that balance customer needs, architectural integrity, and business value. Ensure alignment across teams on product goals and roadmap; promote understanding of the full user journey and platform context. Coordinate cross-team and cross-stream dependencies; escalate blockers and misalignments as needed. Partner with Product Enablement to support go-to-market and adoption strategies through training, communication, and change management. What We’re Looking For: Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Technology, or related discipline. An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 7+ years of relevant professional experience in product management, program management, or business analysis. An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 3+ years experience leading large-scale agile programs, platform strategy, or multi-team product delivery (SAFe experience a plus). Proven success managing complex backlogs and roadmaps across cross-functional teams. Deep understanding of agile principles, MVP scoping, backlog grooming, and Definition of Ready/Done. Experience prioritizing technical and business features using data-driven decision-making (e.g., WSJF). Strong facilitation, communication, and storytelling skills to influence stakeholders and articulate product strategy. Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive alignment, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working in the financial services or credit ratings industry. Familiarity with end-to-end processes across analytics, risk, operations, and methodology within Ratings or similar domains. Exposure to technology platforms, architecture principles, and enterprise integration patterns. Experience with value stream mapping, process improvement, and user journey design. Strong analytical mindset with a focus on KPIs, NPS, adoption rates, and time-to-value. Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Aha!, and agile reporting dashboards.
