About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 10 The Role: Product Manager, Market Data The Team: The Data and Research organization delivers a premier data and analytical platform that empowers financial service and corporate firms to confidently make informed, data-driven investment and business decisions. The Data and Research platforms offer deep and differentiated content, fully integrated with robust analytical tools delivered through multiple delivery channels (web, office, mobile). The Impact: The Product Manager, Market Data is an integral role supporting the development, and delivery of the Market Data offering across the S&P Global Desktop Platforms. The Product Manager will also be responsible for interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to ensure what we build drives real client value. Responsibilities: Support Product Managers in defining and executing on the roadmap from concept through launch for Market Data content. Acting as Product Owner on an agile scrum team - Create and maintain user stories and a product backlog that describes the end goals and demonstrates the value to our client both external and internal. Prioritization of the product backlog and setting the vision/expectation for the stories within the scrum team. Liaise between the development team and stakeholders, end users, business, and customers to define requirements, prioritize delivery goals, resolve impediments, and communicate progress. Share project deliverables and provide relevant updates around product enhancements and releases with stakeholders. Contribute to go to market activities and development and maintenance of client facing documentation. Conduct product testing of the existing platform and new enhancements to ensure all released solutions meet our high-quality standards. Conduct usage analysis along with market and competitor research. What We’re Looking For: BA or BS in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or related field. At least 5 years of product management, data management, technology, or related experience. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum or SAFe process (Experience as a Product Owner/Scrum Master of a SCRUM team a plus). Ability to clearly articulate product requirements and their business value to technology stakeholders and development teams. Strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for digging into the details to define product use cases, capabilities, and impacts. Exceptional ability to work in an international multi-cultural environment utilizing effective influencing, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills. A highly organized and motivated self-starter; able to work independently and creatively as well as within a team. The ability to interact with people at all levels within an organization and to be able to effectively present complex concepts to large groups. Familiarity with the Desktop Platform and the Office-plugin. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Market Data – Equities and Commodities. Experience developing and/or supporting financial services products from concept to commercialization. Extensive knowledge and understanding of product quality and data management. Knowledge of Investment Management / Investment Banking / Capital Markets workflows; and associated user segmentation. Rest APIs and SQL knowledge is preferred.
