Job Description
Avery Dennison is seeking a Product Manager to join the Materials Group North America organization. This role is responsible for planning and managing the P&L and commercial strategy for the products within the architecture segment for Graphics North America. The successful candidate will provide vision and direction to the organization and drive action and execution to achieve the strategic and P&L goals for this portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop strategic and annual operating plans and lead cross-functional team efforts to meet evolving customer, persona and market needs
+ Execute a portfolio management approach to assigned products to optimize growth and profitability while incorporating a global approach where logical
+ Lead execution of multi-generation product plans including: new product introductions and line extensions, product re-engineering and cost out, warranty programs, product promotions, data sheets, selling sheets, training/education and other sales tools and communication of product and service program changes. Lead new product launch and commercialization efforts.
+ Develop an understanding of the target industries/sectors, including market trends, regulations, and customer needs
+ Continuously monitor the competitive landscape to identify threats and opportunities that inform robust product positioning and strategic alignment
+ Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize product line growth and profitability. Own the pricing process, from planning and executing price increases, to new product pricing, to managing current Customer pricing.
+ Collaborate with sales force and business development managers to support introduction and growth of new products
+ Collaborate with Supply Chain and Sales in the development and implementation of service strategies and programs for assigned product line
+ Adept at identifying and engaging with these stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate product value, and manage expectations throughout the sales and implementation process
+ Collaborate with other marketing team members to identify and support evolving customer journey and digital needs
+ Responsible for product content & product data to ensure accurate, consistent, timely, and relevant product information across all internal and external channels as part of lifecycle process
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred
+ 5+ years business experience, including sales and marketing, desired.
+ Salesforce.com experience, desired.
+ Ability to generate support and excitement among an informal, cross-functional team in a matrix organization.
+ Experience with product development and product commercialization processes.
+ Must be able to champion new business ventures.
+ Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
+ Strong data analysis skills
+ Strong teamwork and relationship building skills.
+ Strong financial and business acumen with a proven track record of results.
+ Proven project leadership and critical thinking skills.
+ Required Travel: ~10-15% Domestic
Additional Information
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $125,000/ year.
The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
