Amazon Business (AB) is re-inventing B2B eCommerce by offering business customers of all sizes the same advantages Amazon has already brought to consumers including broad selection, low pricing, and great customer service. AB customers include large enterprises as well as smaller and medium businesses across multiple categories. WW Ops Amazon Business is building the operations and supply chain solutions that will enable AB’s rapid growth by re-engineering many parts of our supply chain to offer bulk, consolidated, pallet deliveries and many other services that business customers require. As an early team member, you will be involved in helping re-imagine what a B2B supply chain should look like and playing a key role in the technology that will power our supply chain.
Amazon Business Operations team is looking for an experienced Product Manager with a strong record of achieving results, to drive expansion of the B2B program across Europe, while building strategic partnerships across the end to end Amazon Supply Chain. The role will focus on product management in delivery experience and supply chain operations space. This role is high visibility, strategic in nature and drives a large part of the Business Customer Experience, which is core to the Amazon Business program. This opportunity will allow you to join a fast paced and quickly growing business segment within Amazon and we are looking for a leader who is passionate about building new businesses, solving complex problems for our B2B Customers, and overall working to drive Cost, Performance and Quality.
Key job responsibilities
This role will own operational and delivery experience initiatives related to Amazon Business with the aim of providing world class delivery experience to business customers. The role will focus on launching scalable technology based solutions that solve complex problem including bulk delivery, address intelligence and last mile routing improvements for B2B use cases. You will drive the long-term vision through development of vision documents, definition of business requirements, launch and post-launch measurement. You will also serve as a key player with partner teams (AB Tech and product, EU Ops, Supply chain, Last mile tech, AMZL Ops) across the company, working to align interests and implement scalable solutions.
You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. As a PM, you will lead high-impact projects, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.
Basic Qualifications
• Experience in product management,
• Understanding of supply chain and/or retail with experience in e-commerce industry
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Finance or equivalent industry experience. ·
• Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Experience managing financial performance, and making related trade-off decisions.
• Experience leading customer research, benchmarking.
• Data-driven decision making or quantitative analysis skills (including deep knowledge of Excel and SQL)
• Excellent communication skills, ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences
• Demonstrated success growing a business, market planning/analysis, and opportunity identification
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Operations and/or Economics
• Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead efforts to meet timelines with optimal short and long term solutions.
• Experience with Localization/Internationalization, tailoring customer experiences to specific and local customer needs
• Ability to thrive in the face of ambiguity; dynamically develop structure/frameworks to tackle problems, plot out the happy path.
• Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
• Entrepreneurial drive and resourcefulness; you find/create nimble solutions to challenging problems without sacrificing the long-term vision.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas
• Exhibits excellent judgment
• Has relentlessly high standards
• Thinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution
• Fluency in German, Italian, French or Spanish is highly preferable but not mandatory.
