Job Description

The Product Manager is responsible for leading 'day to day', 'sprint to sprint' and 'release to release' activities, related to building data products and/or software Product Consultants work closely with Product leaders to provide business analytics and to support the execution and success of countrywide business goals.
Responsibilities include collaborating with several business partners, such State Product Management, Underwriting, Technology and others within Product Management. This role will be accountable for supporting strategic business decisions by evaluating trends and reporting and monitoring key business metrics with a focus on Auto. Consultant will apply business knowledge gained in the role to analyze countrywide profit and loss trends, support product enhancements, identify opportunities to grow profitably and be responsible for completion of other assignments of moderate complexity. A successful consultant will perform more complex forms of analysis, supporting decisions using a variety of data sources along with providing recommendations and effectively communicate findings to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Leverage current data sources, tools and reports and measurement processes to design, create and maintain analytical support for Countrywide Product Management team

Understands P&L, key insurance metrics, and finance reporting data with the ability to identify potential pressure points or emerging trends for product team

Influence business decisions through presentation of data and analysis in a usable format and responds positively and persuasively to opposing views voiced by others

Owns and creates documents, procedures, and communication vehicles to be used by our Countrywide Product Management team to influence product analysis and enhancement, business strategy, and decisions impacting countrywide profitability

Contribute to a supportive team environment, enabling quality team interactions and deliverables (e.g., develop trust within team, reinforce and apply team expectations, appropriately challenge team members and peers, celebrate success and learnings)

Mentors and provides training to other team members

Experience

2+ years or more of experience

Insurance and/or pricing knowledge and experience in P&C industry is preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

Intermediate knowledge of data retrieval, sources, and reporting such as SQL, Business Objects, and Power BI

Attention to detail; can analyze data and review analysis from others and identify and resolve data issues of low to moderate complexity

Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary groups and all organizational levels

Strong organizational skills needed to handle multiple concurrent assignments in a timely manner

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $61,000.00 - 106,210.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
