About the Role
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for primary product and functional ownership over digital sites, applications and properties within a specific business channel within AIA. Must have good organizational ability, be able to multi-task within a complex environment and have good people skills. Communication requirements will extend to all levels within AIA and AIA’s partner organisations, with focus on IT and business users. Management of third-party vendors may also be required.Roles & Responsibilities:
Plan out digital product roadmaps in line with overall strategy, with the aim of releasing high quality and innovative products, features and enhancements.
Create detailed product specifications in line with business needs, UI/UX, and in consultation with IT in order to guide and prioritise the efforts of the development team, whether internal IT or a third-party developer.
Manage end to end testing with regards to managing users, feedback and delivery; and performing functionality testing.
Manage the entire lifecycle of your digital product to ensure that deliverables meet project timelines and requirements and to ensure that the direction for the product is in synch with overall direction for the channel. Be able to drive project management of your product if needed.
Assist on business cases relevant to your product scope with awareness of financial implications of potential projects.
Track and measure the success of tests and digital product launches and perform post launch evaluations.
Communicate ongoing developments to your product to cross functional teams.
Manage expectations with regards to stakeholders, business users and end users with regards to product delivery and expectations.
Work with Helpdesk and the Planning team to ensure that communications are sent out to end-users and that the Helpdesk team are apprised of and ready to receive calls on your product.
Job Requirements:
At least a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in engineering, computer science, or other related degree.
Minimum 7 years’ professional experience within web, app or technical product management.
Well versed with the latest innovation in digital and able to transition a vision or an idea into reality within current limitations. Must be able to work hands-on.
Good communication skills and must be able to multi-task within a complex environment with strong interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to communicate well at all levels within the organisation, group office, affiliates and vendors; with IT and business users.
Understanding of the product management lifecycle and of web/application best practices.
Able to organize, prioritise and manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
Understanding of a variety of methodologies from Agile to Waterfall, and of common software development practices.
