This multi-disciplinary position requires solid accounting experience and is responsible to ensure Corporate strategic objectives are met through developing and deploying efficient business processes. So, what will you be doing as a Product Line Business Controller? + Leadership and oversight of the accounting function for the Wire Group + Monitor, lead, and address the accounting function in cross functional areas and provide guidance and communications to others, to build a strong team environment m + Train, mentor, develop and retain skilled, Branch Controllers + Provide assistance and relief to Branch Controllers as workloads flex for various reasons + Visit locations as needed to assist with processes, projects, operations + Collaborate across the Bedding Segment to develop and implement consistent efficient business processes + Review and approve integrity and accuracy of financial statements + Review statements and reports for abnormalities and help drive corrective action + Review and monitor SMOI across Branches—calculation and business practices/decisions + Complete Variance Analysis on Actuals vs. Forecast & Actuals vs. Prior Year + Maintain compliance with policy and procedures, driving audit results, compliance, and remediation + Proactively review processes at Branches to ensure compliance with requirements as efficiently as possible + Monitor internal audit results and summarize actions/target completions for monthly distribution to management + Assist with variance requests that might be needed + Oversee month-end close process + Approve Journal Entries + Review/Approve Account Reconciliations as needed + Complete entries/calculations that cross Product Line expenses (rebates, administrative charges, etc) & 0A05 + Prepare forecast and associated analysis + Provide inputs and model results + Generate scenarios and help assign probabilities + Develop and monitor business performance metrics + Monitor and understand changes in DIO, DPO, DSO, Operating Expenses for the Product Line + Review statements and reports for abnormalities and help drive corrective action + Create and deploy corrective action plans driven by insights from income statement, balance sheet, and operational review + Coordinating with Corporate Departments (Accounting, Internal Audit, Finance, AP, Credit, IT, etc.) + Support Corporate requests and monitor volume to help assist, prioritize, address concerns + Help Branches reach out to the correct departments to help with questions + Participate in CI events—directly or covering for others so they can participate + Complete Tax Package and Risk/Insurance Requests To be successful in this role, you’ll need: + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines + Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a record of strong academic achievement; MBA or professional certification preferred + 8+ years of manufacturing accounting experience ; prior experience as a manufacturing Controller highly desired + 4 years in a supervisor role, highly desired + Analyze business performance and communicate summarized financial information + Deep understanding of industry trends and patterns + Solid understanding of Cost Accounting and methodologies + Ability and interest to collaborate with manufacturing and business leadership to drive results for customers and shareholders + Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook + High degree of professionalism and ethical standards Things we consider a plus: + MBA or professional certification + Experience as a manufacturing Controller + 4 years or more in a supervisor role What to Do Next Now that you’ve had a chance to learn more about us, what are you waiting for!
