The Job:
As a Product Lifecycle Engineer, you’ll be part of our Engineering team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to:
Provide on-site development engineering support. Conduct technical investigations and determine the need for design changes. Recommend and qualify solutions to issues and provide engineering documentation as needed. Approval authority for all proposed material substitutions thru deviations system. Generate specific projects in support of warranty, reliability, total cost and quality improvement objectives. Participate in the disposition of deviant materials and components. Disposition First Piece Inspection discrepancies for mature products. Drive other teams use of and adherence to engineering validation approval (REA) process. Participate in the warranty reduction process Support new product delivery with engineering documentation, testing evaluation and root cause analysis.Create & Implement CN’s, BoM UpdateThe Person:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering discipline. Bilingual in Spanish and English required.1-3 years’ experience in design of high-volume electromechanical systems. 2-4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Understanding engineering concepts, problem solving skills and data analysis. A self-starting results-oriented individual who works well in a team environment and commits to tough decisions when required. Must be well organized, able to handle multiple projects and priorities and be adept at information gathering and technical decision making in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Great communication skills.Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to generate and present professional presentations. Experience with Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), lean manufacturing and platforming. Ability to collaborate with cross functional team members.Good organizational, strategic planning and project management skills. Resourceful results-driven individual who consistently delivers results. Ability to work on multiple, global projects. Understanding of CAD, PLM &SAP (programs prefer CATIA V5, Windchill and SAP, or similar). Basic knowledge and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Basic knowledge of Microsoft office, including MS Project and Excel. Basic data analysis understanding (like Minitab or similar).Previous designs experience involving manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, plastic injection molding, metal stamping, machining, electronics design.Understanding of 3D computer aided modeling and simulation tools is preferredThe Details:
