Special Products Engineering Manager / Engineered Specials
As the Special Products Engineering Manager within the Engineered Specials department of Emerson's Flow Controls business unit, you will lead a dynamic team of product design engineers who are dedicated to designing specialized products for our customers’ most critical applications. In this role, you will oversee a team of engineers, ensuring that they remain motivated and aligned with the company's strategic goals. You will be responsible for quickly and creatively developing innovative solutions to meet customer needs. Effectively managing and balancing the priorities, capacity, and demands of various stakeholders will be a key part of your responsibilities. Collaboration is essential, as you will work closely with engineering, design, and drafting teams around the world to execute designs, balance workloads, and share knowledge. Additionally, you will interact cross-functionally, engaging especially with sales and operations teams to guarantee customer satisfaction and operational service levels. This position necessitates a proactive approach to problem-solving, a strong passion for innovation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide technical guidance and establish best practices for design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions. Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators to assess team performance. Encourage innovation, continuous improvement, and implement processes and tools that enhance product design and engineering productivity. Ensure that all engineering activities comply with industry and company policies, standards, and practices. Collaborate with other departments, including product management, sales, and operations, to ensure alignment with product portfolio plans, including ongoing engineering support, product expansions, cost reductions, or rationalizations.

For this Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field. Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience Proven track record leading teams Understanding of engineering principles and demonstrated experience in their application Ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences, including engineers and non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
Valve design engineering or sustaining engineering experience.
