At our plant in Glenrothes, Scotland we design, develop and produce radial piston motors working in partnership with world renowned international OEM’s in industries such as material handling, construction and forestry machinery

Job Description

What will you be doing?

Analysing customer dataPerform life calculations to assess suitability of productsCommunicate with Design where new motor variants are requiredMake recommendations for improvementsProduct life calculations within specified parametersSupporting, assisting and liaising with project managers.Timely and accurate completion of assigned tasksEnable increased speed of technical enquiriesCreation, modification and maintenance of documentsDevelop improved calculationsMake suggestions for improving departmental processesAssist with engineering changes and Sales RequestsCo-ordination of Continuous Improvement Process (CIP).Review new and revised centrally issued documents and determine any actions that would be required to comply.

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

Currently studying for a Bachelor or Master's in mechanical engineering or similarEnjoyment in problem solving and researching solutions for challenging problemsAnalytical capabilitiesAble to demonstrate initiative and strong organisational skillsWorked as part of a project team and solving problems as a teamDemonstrable experience with intermediate and advanced excel tools and functionsExperience with Matlab or MathcadUnderstanding of fluid dynamics and hydraulicsSkills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
