PRODUCT ENGINEER I **At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.** ​ **Job Overview** TE Connectivity’s Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products from information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operation Teams, Development Engineers or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, and cost, while meeting customer requirements and may support and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer requirements. They are the key experts in the products they are responsible for at TE. The Product Data Maintenance (PDM) role will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of product configuration data necessary to purchase and manufacture TE Energy products. This position requires a versatile individual who can apply technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure that manufacturing data is accurate and available when needed. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, maintain high standards of quality and safety, and effectively communicate with internal team members at various TE sites. Key responsibilities of the role include: • Translating part drawing details into manufacturing data • Creating Material Masters, BOMs and Routings in SAP. • Assigning new part numbers to new products • Track status of new part creation workflows • Coordinate with Product Designers and Product Managers to facilitate accurate product data setup • Support various Operations and R&D functions to successfully launch new products. • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and part consolidation. **What your background should look like:** • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or Material Sciences and other related fields of study. • Ability to review drawings and specifications, interpret results, and translate into product manufacturing data • Experience in SAP • Strong project management skills to handle workflow and meet deadlines • Excellent communication skills to interface with cross-functional team members • Knowledge of automated testing systems and their development • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities • Proactive attitude and ability to work independently • Experience with electrical component design or manufacturing is a plus **Competencies** Values: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork **ABOUT TE CONNECTIVITY** TE Connectivity is a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive, and connected future.
