Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Support Engineer with a specialization in HVAC/R systems. In this role, you will serve as a technical expert on our products, bridging the gap between our suppliers, sales, and customer support. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all our products meet industry standards and customer expectations.
ResponsibilitiesProvide 2nd level technical support for all products, including HVAC equipment and related accessories.Liaise with product manufacturers on issues to facilitate fast resolution to customer issues.Conduct root cause analysis of failures and drive implementation of corrective actions with manufacturer and track and manage ongoing product issues and corrective actions.Create and manage a technical knowledgebase of issues and solutions.Monitor and review company AHRI listings for completeness and accuracy.Stay up to date with the latest technologies, methodologies in the industry, and codes/regulations, ensuring all products meet industry standards and regulations.Review and author product documentation including manuals, specification sheets, drawings, and more.Evaluate new products to ensure they meet regulatory and quality standards as well as customer expectations.Create test methods to evaluate product quality and perform tests including performance testing and lifetime testing.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in support engineer role, ideally with a focus on HVAC or refrigeration systems.Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems integration.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.An ability to take initiative and work with limited direction.Good analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Good interpersonal skills; strong relationship building skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge and understanding of HVAC or refrigeration principles.Familiarity with industry standards such as AHRI, ASHRAE, SMACNA, and others.Work Environment
The position is based in a manufacturing facility, working within an engineering team of 3, where you would be the fourth member to support engineering activities and supplier troubleshooting. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $67.00/hr.
