Job Responsibilities:
For our Engineering division at Sailauf (near Aschaffenburg), we are offering exciting and challenging development prospects and are looking for a Project Engineer in Product Development.
Your Tasks:
Independent development / project planning of technical concepts in the area of Product Development (Body, Battery frame, Crash Management Systems, Doors and Outer skin, Chassis)
Coordination of the development team (CAD, CAE, Testing, Prototypes) including communication with the customer (OEM and manufacturing plant) regarding the project's goals
Product development from the concept phase through to series production and beyond
Determination and definition of Product Development goals based on customer’s specifications
Preparation of technical reports and presentations, both internally and externally
Development of product drawings including tolerance concepts
Collaboration in international development projects
Who we are looking for:
Completed University degree in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanics / Automotive Engineering or Industrial Engineering
Several years of professional experience (at least 3-5 years) in the Automotive industry are required, ideally in the Product Development of Battery frames, Body, Crash Management Systems and/or Chassis
Analytical and conceptual thinking
Strong communication skills, fluency in written and spoken German and English
Ability to adapt to various cultures
Independent, goal-oriented and proactive working style
Good knowledge of MS Office
Ability to work in a team, flexibility and a high willingness to learn
