Product Engineer - Hardware
**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Engage with Customers, Emerson Engineers, and Global Support Staff to resolve DeltaV suite problems. + Providing remote diagnostics to investigate and replicate hardware and software application issues at client sites. + Provide feedback to Technology regarding our end user requirements, based on the investigation of field issues. + Travel to customer sites in China. + Build Knowledge Base Article content to advise the field about Product Information. + Become a domain expert on DeltaV suite of Controller, IOs and related hardware and software applications to influence future innovation of the suite of product offerings. + Establish and maintain close consultative long-term relationships with key Emerson customers to assist with their DeltaV support needs. **Who You Are:** You gain insight into customer needs. You successfully communicate in various settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels. You build collaboration allowing others across the organization to achieve shared objectives. **For This Role, You Will Need:** + Equivalent experience in automatic control, electrical engineering, or computer science is acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree + Instrumentation and automatic control, 6 to 8 years work experience; working experience in Refining, Chemical, Life Sciences, Oil & Gas, Marine, and related industry is preferred **Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:** + Willing to travel (sometimes because of an emergency) + Experience in addressing challenges with industrial communication protocol, SIS, Controller/IOs/CHARMs with field device is preferred + Familiar with filed device and electronic circuit application are preferred + Good Visual Basic/Java script or at least 1 coding language; Good in oral and written English skills + Excellent Get Result/Accountability, Self-motivation, Analyzes Issue, and Service Orientated + Familiar with Partnership and Communication; Handling Challenges with strong Quality Commitment awareness; **Our Culture & Commitment to You:** At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
