Product Development Engineer
Job Title: Product Development EngineerJob Description

Join an innovative automotive manufacturer specializing in the development and manufacturing of shock absorbers and power steering systems for both 2 and 4 wheeled vehicles. As a Product Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and advancement of our production processes.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain a safe work environment by following all safety policies and procedures and reporting any safety issues to management.Engage actively in daily production floor activities and resolve equipment concerns efficiently.Participate in process improvement activities and implement continuous improvements within cross-functional teams.Manage all phases of multiple concurrent projects, from concept to implementation and beyond.Create and deliver effective presentations on recommended solutions and alternatives.Engage in discussions with vendors, staff, and management regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status.Handle special projects as directed by management.Support departmental business plan objectives and 5S activities.Contribute to the development of new models.
Essential Skills3-5 years experience in high volume manufacturing (assembly).3-5 years of project management experience with customers and suppliers.Proficiency in project management, project planning, AutoCAD, lean manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, Six Sigma, capital projects, capital equipment, mechanical engineering, project engineering, product development engineering, process development, and new product development.Experience in the automotive industry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications3-5 years experience in the automotive industry, preferably Japanese.Engineering Degree.The person or BA/or Associates.
Work Environment

Work is primarily conducted on the production plant floor with an open office seating arrangement, fostering collaboration and communication.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Sunbury, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $55.29/hr.
