Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Product Development Coordinator to support the execution of new product initiatives from concept to launch. This role involves close collaboration with design, sourcing, buying, and quality teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Create and update the PD project management tool to communicate timelines for PD, packaging team, buyers and overseas vendorsInteract directly with the sourcing team and guide them to drive progress during the development and production processRequest quotes and samples for developed programs.Support product costing, RFQs, and price analysisCoordinate, log, and manage the sample approval processParticipate in weekly sample and packaging meeting with buyers and product developmentPrepare workflow for package designers, guide them through the creation of the packaging artwork.Responsible for customer service-related issues and tracking supplier performanceCollaborate with Asia Sourcing team and South Africa graphics team to create and maintain product specificationsGather product trend information and share with team membersRequires participation in bi-weekly evening meetings with international teams across time zonesKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven import project management and sourcing experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated with critical attention to detail and adherence to deadlinesWorks well and thrives in a team environment as well as independentlyAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAdept at building effective business relationshipsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesBonus: Mandarin Chinese language proficiency for communication with overseas teamBasic knowledge of manufacturing timelines and product lifecycleBonus: Familiarity with Adobe Creative tools such as Illustrator or PhotoshopQualifications
Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience within hardlines, consumer products related industries (retail, wholesale, and/or grocery channelBachelor's degree requiredProficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and basic project management toolsStrong verbal and written communication skills in EnglishHigh attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesWhat We Offer
