Product Development Assistant
Overview The Product Development Assistant supports the Product Development (PD) team by developing close working relationships with cross-functional partners; calendar management, initiating and following-up on correspondence, communication, and processes to maintain workflow. Primary Responsibilities: Product Development Milestone Schedule and manage all milestone meetings for private brands Close to 1,000 meetings not including Home division Critical Thinking and understanding Product Development Process Building Relationships with EAs for scheduling Assist in technical preparation for timely meetings Seating, cameras, microphones - Setup mobile carts for meetings as needed. Troubleshoot mobile cart issues Product Development Execution Standards Packaging and Labeling Execute visual packaging and labeling aids and model packs for all divs as needed in Flex PLM Execute product development standardization projects such as fold libraries, trim placement libraries in Flex PLM Compile competitive analysis slides of images from competition for new P&L requests. Wear Testing Work with PD/PP to identify wear testers Order Samples Communicate timing and distribution Follow up on survey results Competitive Shopping Work with PD/PP on competitive shopping projects as needed Create Hope & Wonder competitive shopping reports for each culture moment – report out at each cultural moments SKO Sample Management Coordinate sample drop off and pick of with photo studio as needed Organize fit symposium samples, coordinate with Tech Design Operational Excellence Weekly TBs for prioritization of tasks with PD Director Weekly invoicing for Technical Design Fit Models Book travel and complete expense reports Preparation and facilitation of weekly staff meeting Assist Fabric team as needed Design forum planning and scheduling as needed Responsibilities Core Competencies & Accomplishments: Minimum two years supporting a department or team. Detail-oriented; highly organized, ability to multi-task with effective time management skills and handle competing priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Anticipates needs and plans accordingly. Energetic self-starter. Proficiency in Flex PLM, Illustrator and MS software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and other standard office equipment for recording, storing, analyzing, retrieving, and presenting information. Bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Design, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, or Apparels and Textiles preferred.
