At Uber, we’re reimagining the future of financial services for a global, diverse user base. We’re looking for a **Product Designer** to join our **Financial Products team** in **São Paulo**, home to Uber’s first Tech Center in Latin America.
In this role, you’ll design consumer-facing experiences that power essential financial tools like instant payouts, debit cards, loans, and cross-border remittances - as well as help shape entirely new solutions that drive financial empowerment across Uber’s platform.

**What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points**
\-\-\-\- What the Candidate Will Do ----
1. Design end-to-end financial product experiences across mobile and web
2. Partner with PMs, engineers, and researchers to align user needs with business goals
3. Turn complex problems into elegant, intuitive solutions
4. Contribute to and evolve Uber’s design system and visual standards
5. Leverage insights from UXR and data to inform your design decisions
6. Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure design quality in production
7. Document your design work clearly to support alignment and handoff
8. Participate in or lead design jams and sprints to rapidly explore and validate ideas
9. Engage in critiques, give/receive feedback, and raise the team’s design bar
\-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ----
1. 5+ years of experience designing mobile-first products
2. Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered, shipped work
3. Proficiency in Figma (motion/interaction design skills are a plus)
4. Solid understanding of design systems, accessibility, and responsive design
5. Strong collaboration and communication skills in Portuguese and English
\-\-\-\- Preferred Qualifications ----
1. Experience in fintech, payments, or other regulated industries
2. Proven ability to simplify complex problems with strategic thinking
3. Experienced in prototyping and interaction design, with a strong interest in motion design and growing expertise in bringing interfaces to life.
4. Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
5. Strong communicator who can clearly explain design rationale to diverse teams
