Splunk helps them find insights in, drive decisions from, and alert on issues in the vast amounts of data that they generate in their business. Generating visualizations and dynamic dashboards is one of the most critical solutions to do just that. Join our team of designers and researchers to build the tools that our users leverage to build business impacting dashboards. As a Product Designer you will be working with our Dashboard Studio and Visualization teams to develop a user-centered roadmap, create compelling interfaces/interactions, coordinate across multiple teams, and create prototypes of solutions.What you’ll do:Work alongside the Splunk Dashboard PM and Engineering teams to deliver complete UX workflows to solve top user needsEnsure design deliverables match and use the existing design system and shared engineering componentsDesign thoughtful, user-centered experiences for end-to-end users journeysCraft user workflow diagrams, prototypes, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs.Distill and communicate technically complex use cases into easily understood concepts and design solutions.Plan, conduct, and analyze user research projectsWork with cross-functional teams throughout product development (including user research, product management, and engineering)Partner closely with engineering to ensure that design specifications are implementedPartner with user research to deeply understand user needs. Speak with users and clients frequently. Test design concepts with customers and conduct usability studiesPartner with product managers, to solicit user input, and use it to craft product development effortsWhat you’ll bring:Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience in product design and UX/UI DesignKnowledge of Data Visualization interfaces, especially in a B2B environmentUnderstanding of design systems, and experience leveraging, and contributing to, design systemsExcellent visual design skills and a high-level understanding of visual solutions for all screen sizesMaster crafting prototypes to communicate complex design concepts to users and project partnersExpert in using industry-standard design and prototyping tools (Figma, Miro)Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, especially in a remote environmentExperience collaborating with other designers and departments - you’re comfortable taking and incorporating feedback from other team membersA positive track record of handing off buildable designs to engineering teamsNot afraid of project or product ambiguity and willing to learn new skillsDegree in HCI or related Design program, or proven experience in lieu of degreeBonus Points If You HaveExperience working in SaaS or enterprise softwareKnowledge of statistics, data visualization, charting and data related storytellingExperience in enabling highly technical users to quickly and intuitively analyze and get insights from data produced by a wide variety of services and devicesExperience with any administration tasks in SaaS tools, user, role and responsibilities management, product deployment, get data in, and data managementMeet the Products and Technology TeamWant to build security and observability products people love AND work with people as smart (and humble) as you are?
