Product Costing & Inventory Accounting Team Manager

**The position**
Join Boehringer Ingelheim’s Global Business Services (GBS) Center in Wroclaw and take on a leadership role in our expanding Product Costing and Inventory Accounting function. You’ll be managing a skilled and growing team that delivers high-quality services to EMEA entities, contributing to strategic development and operational excellence.
**Tasks & responsibilities**
• As the Product Costing & Inventory Accounting Team Manager, you are responsible for the professional delivery of services by your team, as well as for driving continuous improvement across all offerings, in alignment with internal and external compliance regulations.
• You lead a team and oversee the execution and implementation of Product Costing & Inventory Accounting processes across various European markets, guided by company values and leadership principles, with a strong focus on customer experience excellence, business process optimization, and people development.
• You contribute to new system deployments and coordinate the maintenance and enhancement of various ERP systems and related financial tools.
• You are accountable for coordinating month-end activities within your scope, fostering collaboration and increasing engagement with diverse stakeholders.
• In managing workload and escalations, you are able to dive deep into specific processes to identify improvements, assign tasks effectively, and define actions for issue resolution.
• Regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders, along with managing escalations using your strong communication, social, and technical competencies, is a key part of your role in delivering an outstanding customer experience.
• You participate in projects and operate in a performance-driven environment, where service quality is measured against defined targets, and process adherence is ensured during operational execution.
• You are responsible for ensuring that all process documentation is accurate and up to date.
**About our future employee**
You should speak English language at a minimum C1 level. You bring at least 3 years of leadership experience, along with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in Accounting-to-Reporting / Record-to-Report, Controlling, or a similar field – ideally within an industrial Manufacturing environment or a Shared Services setting that interacts with manufacturing processes.
**Additionally, we are looking for:**
• A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• A positive attitude and the ability to contribute ideas within our Speak-Up culture, actively engaging in process optimization
• Proven ability to address complex issues with a solution-oriented approach

• Preferably, SAP expertise and hands-on experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4HANA
• Additional knowledge and/or experience in manufacturing processes, product cost calculation, and material master data is a plus
• Ability to work in a diverse, international environment
• Willingness to travel as needed
