We are seeking someone to join our Japan ISG Finance team as a Product Controller to be involved with delivering projects and managing relationships across all trading desks in Macro Trading (Rates/FX).
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Vice President level position within our Product Controllers Job Family which specializes in ensuring adequacy of controls, profit and loss and balance sheet reporting and reconciliations for a segment / business / product area, as well as management reporting across business segments or cross functional end-to-end product oversight.

Key Responsibilities
> Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
> Lead end-to-end processes and/or programs that require complex decision making, advanced understanding of client and stakeholder needs and subject matter expertise
> Understand and adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; own risk and contingency plans for business area
> Will have review responsibility for our deployed location in Mumbai as well as responsibility for preparing management reporting to the business and internal finance metrics including all aspects of finance; this individual will also be responsible for reviewing and communicating changes to the balance sheet, capital and expenses through various reporting to Business Heads
> Review Daily P&L/P&L attribution for Macro strategies; in particular for Rates Trading
> Produce and review various Revenue, Balance Sheet, Sales Credit, Expenses and Capital Analytical Reporting to the Business Heads
> Key interaction with Sales & Trading Desk, Operations, IT, Market Risk Division, and other key finance groups on issues, projects, etc.
> Manage, attract, develop and retain talent for team within Finance while creating an inclusive environment; translate Firmwide goals into actionable goals for department/function
> Act as a role model and culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and team accountable to Firm standards
> Manage business unit projects front to back covering project planning, technology and operational developments, P&L impact analysis, project implementation, ensuring IT solutions for straight through accounting processing and reporting transparency to accurately explain P&L - in particular for Project Midway
> Manage project impacts to internal clients across Finance, Operations, Technology, and Trading divisions to ensure seamless integration. Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
> Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, industry, and competitive environment and technical skills, including risks and key regulations relevant to the division
> Strong technical skills, especially Microsoft Excel and VBA skills with the ability to navigate and work on complex spreadsheets.
> Ability to inspire and support others by providing positive and constructive feedback and to acknowledge efforts of and promote team members
> Ability to manage risk and impact to functional area, and create plans to mitigate those risks
> Has strong interpersonal skills in order to work effectively within our product control group, as well as with our key clients, including the business unit, market risk, IT, legal, compliance, tax, accounting policy and other functional groups
> University graduated in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or relevant disciplines showing strong academic credentials
> At least 5 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
