A central focus of this role is to deepen understanding of our data assets by conducting thorough data profiling, mapping and validation, ensuring the integrity and reliability of datasets across the organization. As the subject matter expert on asset management data, the lead analyst plays a pivotal role in guiding best practices, establishing robust validation processes, and delivering high-quality data assets tailored to stakeholder needs. By proactively profiling data and validating mappings, they empower teams to make confident, data-driven decisions, foster trust in analytics outputs, and enable seamless access to accurate, actionable information throughout the asset management landscape.

Roles and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 Lead, mentor, and support a team of data analysts in India, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.Use domain knowledge to understand data, produce specs and work on the entire data life cycleServe as the subject matter expert (SME) for asset management data with an understanding of end to end flowsRemain hands-on with data analysis and visualization, championing best practices and ensuring high-quality delivery.Collaborate closely with product and technology partners to build a unified, high-impact function.Conduct comprehensive data profiling, mapping, and validation to deepen understanding of organizational data assets.Ensure the integrity and reliability of datasets across the entire organization, enabling trustworthy analytics outcomes.

Role Requirements:

Proven experience in data analytics within asset management.Demonstrated leadership in managing and developing data analyst teams.Hands-on expertise in data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools (such as Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).Strong understanding of asset management products, operations, and data management practices.Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into working solutions.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to foster a collaborative and innovative working environment.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

10+ years of experience in Data5+ in Asset Management is a mustStrong SQL skills and experience with data managementStrong MS excel skillsExperience in data sourcing and understanding of the third party datasets available in the investments spaceBachelors degree in field like Math, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Finance (with focus on analysis), etc.; MBA or Masters in related field preferred but not required.
