Product Configuration Manager
**Job Summary** NetApp is seeking a dedicated Product Configuration Manager (PCM) to play a pivotal role in managing business requirements and the lifecycle of products within the commerce cycle. We are looking for an individual with deep expertise in Oracle BOM (Bill of Materials) creation, part attribution, and product positioning. Your skills will be instrumental in guiding managers to standardize the quoting process for their products, ensuring efficiency and consistency across the organization. **Job Requirements** **Key Responsibilities:** + **Product Positioning:** Leverage your expertise in product positioning to guide and support managers in aligning products with market demands and business strategies. + **Oracle BOM Management:** Oversee the creation and management of Oracle BOMs, ensuring precise marketing part creation and attribution of parts. + **Standardization of Quoting Process:** Lead initiatives to standardize the quoting process for products, ensuring all quotes are accurate, timely, and consistent throughout the organization. + **Business Requirements Management:** Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to ensure product development aligns with business objectives and customer needs. + **Lifecycle Management:** Manage the entire lifecycle of products within the commerce cycle, from inception to end-of-life, ensuring alignment with business goals and market needs. + **Collaboration:** Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure cohesive product strategies and successful product launches. + **Continuous Improvement:** Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements within the product lifecycle and business requirements management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. + **SDLC Agile Principles:** Serve as a product owner, adhering to Agile principles to drive product development and delivery. + **Configurator UI Design:** Work closely with the UX team to design and write requirements for the configurator UI in the quoting tool, ensuring a user-friendly and efficient interface. **Education** + Preferred 5-8 years of relevant experience. + Bachelor’s degree in arts or science (or equivalent experience). + Proven experience in Oracle BOM creation and management. + Strong understanding of product positioning and market analysis. + Experience in standardizing business processes, particularly in the quoting process. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. + Strong communication and collaboration skills. + Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. + Knowledge of product lifecycle management within a commerce cycle. + Familiarity with leading CPQ and billing systems such as Salesforce, Oracle, Zuora, etc. + Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, customer service, business, and negotiation skills. **Focus Areas for Requirements:** BOM creation, product rules & data, product lifecycle management, and user experience (UX). 131097 At NetApp, we embrace a hybrid working environment designed to strengthen connection, collaboration, and culture for all employees.
