Product Compliance Manager
As the Product Compliance Manager, you will be part of a senior compliance advisory team and be the primary contact for the Product and ETF Capital Markets teams. Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance processes related to Vanguard’s Australian funds and ETFs. Serve as a trusted advisor to the business and provides guidance and oversight of regulated activities. About Vanguard More than 45 years ago, John C. Duties and Responsibilities Business Support + Providing advice & challenge by assessing the regulatory requirements for responsible business lines and suggesting courses of action for business leads to make informed decisions.Providing compliance advice & challenge on the sufficiency of documented controls. + Provide advice and support to Product and ETF Capital Markets functions in relation to product disclosures including target marketing determinations. + Identifying and delivery on compliance training needs for functions this includes maintenance of online compliance training material. + Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Compliance Policies and Procedures + Lead the review and maintenance of the Compliance Plan for Vanguard’s managed investment schemes. + Design and maintain policies and procedures to address identified Compliance risks and fulfill compliance obligations that can be easily used by functions to deliver compliant outcomes. Compliance Management Practices + Assisting with assessment of complex incidents and breaches and supporting the business define resolution and remediation activities. + The Product Compliance Manager will also collate information required, and work in collaboration with the Compliance Reporting Team, to prepare Compliance reports and attend various steering committees & management meetings. They will be accountable for the reporting on a timely basis of any significant compliance issues and internal compliance initiatives. + Communicate new regulatory developments and requirements. Effect timely changes to policies processes and training to take account of regulatory changes. Stakeholder Management + Establish and maintain constructive relationships with key first line stakeholders. + Establish and maintain open and transparent relationships with both internal and external auditors. Qualifications and Experience + Minimum of ten years related work experience, with at least seven years within a financial services product management and/or a compliance function. + Must have knowledge of responsible entity, managed investment schemes and/or ETF compliance obligations. + Strong written and verbal communication skills required. + Demonstrated experience and ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. + Undergraduate degree or equivalent required.
