Description
As a product auditor on the Quality team in BAWA Waco, TX you will perform quality inspections to ensure our machines meet specifications. You will document quality issues into a computer system and flag any found defects for repairs.
Job duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Perform quality inspection based on the check- list of inspection points/procedures
Complete inspections using a checklist and tooling provided (static tools, electrical tests, templates, etc.)
Perform overall quality inspection at quality gates or at pre-delivery inspection
Inspects products to ensure it meets the specifications
Document quality issues into a computer system and flag defects for repair
Calibration of assembly tools
Process time studies and audits as needed for quality improvements
Cross-functional communication to complete tasks
Contributing team member
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
Ability to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
Ability to perform repetitive operations
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Basic Qualifications:
1 year of mechanical assembly experience
Experience in SAP software
Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Top candidates will also have:
Previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with inspection and product auditing processes
Intermediate proficiency with measurement equipment and gauges
Strong working knowledge of Assembly/Manufacturing practices
Advanced problem solving/troubleshooting ability
Ability to follow Standard Work
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize work
Heavy equipment experience
Additional Information: This is a 1st shift hourly position in Waco, TX with the BAWA (BCP Assembly Waco Attachment) group.
1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00 am - 4:00 pm; Overtime on Fridays as needed (up to 8 hours).

Summary Pay Range:
$20.70 - $26.90Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
