CACI is currently looking for a motivated, career and customer-oriented Product Architect SME with Agile methodology experience to join our Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Land Border Integration (LBI) Integrated Traveler Initiative ITI2.1 team in Northern Virginia! What you’ll get to do:
The Product Architect SME provides architectural and software engineering expertise to managers and technical staff on a product team. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical understanding of Agile Development practices and experience delivering releasable software.
Responsible for activities associated with delivery of customer-defined systems and software projects
Collaborates with Developers, Portfolio Managers, Business Analysts, Testers, and Production Support Engineers to implement innovative technical solutions via iterative approach, reducing time to delivery
Champions all aspects of the enterprise architecture function including architectural standards, governance processes, and provides the vision to explore and effectively utilize emerging technologies
Collaborates with end user facing teams to define technology migration strategies and approaches
Performs Architecture reviews as required, ensuring initiatives are aligned with future state
Supports the Portfolio Manager and collaborates with the Product Owner to define and maintain the Product baseline, backlog, and roadmap
Advocates effective architectural designs and optimizes current architecture and processes
Identifies risks, opportunities, compliance issues or other architectural concerns
Ensures that appropriate resources are brought to bear on complex production issues affecting applications
Participates in Agile Scrum sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations, retrospectives, and solution releases
Analyzes project-related problems and creates innovative solutions involving schedule, technologies, methodologies, tools, and solution components
Champions DevSecOps and test automation within a product team.
Develops the product team’s technical skills through mentoring, coaching, and peer reviews.
Oversees technical and agile best practices within the product team
Reviews Cybersecurity Assessments and Static Code Analysis of developed software to perform remediation and improve software quality.
Defines product Smoke-Test cases to ensure automated deployment tests encapsulate necessary tests to ensure successful performance
Establishes team objectives, operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results of the job function or completion of a project.
Leads, directs and reviews the work of a team who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
Participates in various CBP meetings to provide product support, analysis, and insight.
You have:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria includes, but not limited to:
3-year check for felony convictions
1-year check for illegal drug use
1-year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
10+ years of related experience.
College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline. Experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
Strong software development background with least ten (10) years of IT experience related to the role
Five (5) to Seven (7) years’ experience in incremental software development projects such as the Agile Scrum approach
Must be available to work a hybrid schedule with an on-site requirement in Sterling, VA
You are good at:
Experience in systems development, systems integration, application design and/or legacy modernization
Experience in the agile management framework
Understanding of key business drivers
Effectively resolving problems and roadblocks as they occur, consistently following through on details while driving innovation as well as issue resolution
Collaborating with Portfolio Managers, Developers, and Testers to implement innovative technical solutions via iterative approach reducing time to delivery
Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong written and verbal communication skills and work ethic; self-starter
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:
Prior experience working with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Systems
Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas
Experience working on unusually complicated problems and providing solutions that are highly creative and ingenious, exhibiting creativity, and resourcefulness
Experience supporting Federal government projects

The proposed salary range for this position is:
