In this exciting position, you'll be recognized as an expert in the Compaction business segment and machine applications. You'll act as a vital link between the Product Value Stream, Regional Go-To-Market Sales Teams, Waste Industry and Managed Accounts, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. Your work will enable the success of Cat and Dealer sales teams to achieve targets and will support customers in ensuring they receive the most value from their Cat Landfill and Soil Compactors. As the strategic marketing lead, you'll influence and execute the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and serve as the commercial representative on the Product Value Stream (PVS) NPI team. You will develop and communicate the global critical customer requirements and product functional specifications that feed into the compactor NPI process. Get ready to make a significant impact and lead the charge in shaping the future of Cat Landfill and Soil Compactors! **What You Will Do:** + Make market-driven recommendations on Percent Industry Sales (PINS), units and growth strategies across Waste and Construction industries to achieve PINS and revenue targets globally. + Support the development of defined value selling capabilities and marketing programs to achieve a plan for machine unit & volume targets, PINS objectives and price realization globally. + Lead product initiatives and price/value positioning projects spanning across regions and global price realization targets. + Lead analysis and maintain understanding of key competitors’ machine offerings and global merchandising strengths, weaknesses and tactics. + Be the “Go to person” for issues related to achieving sales plan (Pricing, Product, availability, coverage). + Be the Global Voice of Market input to the WW Product Value Stream Manager and Compactor NPI process. + Execute the Commercial and Marketing NPI workstream deliverables within given NPI programs. + Manage and remain up to date with new industry trends, changing technology and regulations affecting the competitive environment. + Act as the Value Selling champion, ensuring the competitive position of Cat Compaction products can be communicated and demonstrated in the sales process to meet customer needs and win. + Develop and deploy product application and value selling training to Cat, Dealer and customer audiences. + Consult with Cat, Dealer and Customer stakeholders on machine selection, operation and application. **Education requirement:** Candidates should possess a relevant degree or demonstrate equivalent knowledge through professional expertise. **What skills you will have:** **Technical Excellence:** + Extensive knowledge in product, commercial, or product support functions. + Demonstrate creativity, foresight, business judgment and outstanding machine application or marketing/distribution knowledge. **Customer Focus:** + Understands key customer requirements, values, and practices, and uses that insight to inform business decisions and develop tailored customer solutions. **Products and Services** : + Strong understanding of Caterpillar’s products, services, and go-to-market strategy, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively across a variety of business scenarios **.** **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** + Applies structured critical thinking techniques to support sound decision-making. + Gathers, organizes, and documents relevant data, ideas, stakeholders, and processes. + Helps evaluate concerns, assess risks and benefits, and explore alternative solutions. **Negotiating:** + Explains key principles of effective and ineffective negotiation, including foundational concepts. + Understands and applies organizational policies and practices related to negotiation. + Uses techniques to build rapport and trust during negotiation processes. **Additional Information:** This position requires the candidate **to work onsite five days a week at the Mossville, IL or Decatur, IL office.** Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
