Product and Inventory Control Manager
Position Overview: Lead inventory management and product control operations to optimize inventory levels, ensure accurate stock management, and drive operational efficiency while managing teams and implementing strategic inventory initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management Leadership
Direct inventory control operations Develop and implement inventory management strategies Optimize inventory levels and turnover rates Manage inventory accuracy and cycle counting programs Oversee stock replenishment and procurement coordination Monitor inventory performance metrics and KPIs Lead inventory reduction and optimization initiativesTeam Management
Supervise inventory control supervisors and coordinators Manage inventory analysts and cycle counting teams Lead cross-functional inventory projects Provide training and professional development Conduct performance evaluations and coaching Build high-performing inventory teams Foster continuous improvement cultureProcess Optimization
Design and implement inventory control procedures Optimize warehouse layouts and storage systems Lead process improvement initiatives Implement best practices and standardization Drive automation and technology adoption Analyze workflow efficiency Develop inventory management protocolsStrategic Planning
Develop inventory budgets and forecasts Collaborate on demand planning initiatives Support supply chain optimization Drive cost reduction programs Support business growth initiativesRequired Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related working experience, Required Master's degree preferred Professional certifications (APICS, CSCP, CPIM) strongly preferredExperience:
5+ years inventory management experience 3+ years management/supervisory experience Experience with WMS/ERP systems Knowledge of inventory optimization techniques Multi-location inventory management experience Process improvement and lean methodology experienceTechnical Skills:
Systems Proficiency:
Advanced WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) Advanced Excel and data analysis Inventory optimization software Reporting and analytics tools Database management Barcode/RFID systemsAnalytical Skills:
