What will you do?
Develop the Documentary Trade franchise by creating solutions for clients involving SBLC, Bank Guarantees and Letters of Credit in both bilateral and syndicated formats.Engage regularly with clients, Local Trade Product teams, Trade Sales, and Global Relationship Managers.Originate transactions in close coordination with local Trade teams and lead the structuring and execution of such transactions. Perform detailed due diligence of the underlying transactions and proactively identify enhancements to the structures.Manage internal workflows and conversations with key internal stakeholders — including Risk, Legal, Middle Office, and Compliance — ensuring timely and robust execution. This includes preparing high-quality content and documentation for the internal admission and approval process.Develop specialized product expertise, gaining client trust and positioning yourself as a solution-driven advisor.Contribute to product development by identifying new solutions and market trends to enrich our offering, manage the structuring and internal approvals as required.Support the commercial positioning of the franchise, collaborating with Relationship Managers and Trade Sales to build the pipeline, articulate value to clients, and co-lead strategic pitches.Work closely with other SCIB teams (Structured Trade, Coverage, Syndications, etc.) to develop and deliver integrated, cross-product solutions. Active management of these internal stakeholders is key to the success of our strategy.Experience
Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience in Documentary Trade Finance, whether at a Bank, Insurance Company, Export Credit, Trade Lobby or related Agency. Experience in law firms or accounting consultancy firms will also be considered if related to Documentary Trade business. Working knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP 98, etc and SWIFT highly valued.Education
Bachelor’s degree in economics, Business Administration, Finance – a Dual academic background (e.g. Law, Engineering) will be positively valued.MBA (undertaking or finalized) is a plus.Additional certifications related to Trade Finance, Structured Finance, or Risk (e.g., ICC Academy, CFA, or similar) will be taken into consideration.Skills and Knowledge
