This role will be responsible for managing and growing a book of business across entertainment clients—including film, television, music, theater, live events, and production companies—while delivering innovative insurance solutions tailored to the unique risks of the sector. The Broker will act as a trusted advisor to clients, provide market expertise, and collaborate with internal teams to drive business development and retention. **Key Responsibilities** + **Client Relationship Management** + Serve as the primary advisor to entertainment industry clients, building strong, long-term relationships. + Understand client needs across production, venues, events, and performers, tailoring insurance programs to mitigate risk. + Deliver proactive communication and ensure high levels of client satisfaction. + **Business Development** + Develop and execute strategies to expand the entertainment vertical through cross-selling, referrals, and targeted prospecting. + Identify new market opportunities within film, live events, media, and production segments. + Partner with Producers and Account Executives to present innovative coverage solutions. + **Market Placement & Negotiation** + Place and negotiate coverage with carriers, underwriters, and specialty markets, ensuring competitive terms and pricing. + Leverage market knowledge of entertainment-specific exposures such as cast coverage, event cancellation, equipment, intellectual property, and liability. + **Program Design & Risk Advisory** + Structure insurance programs addressing specialized entertainment risks, from production delays to live event liability. + Provide thought leadership on emerging risks in entertainment, including cyber threats, streaming, and global production challenges. + **Collaboration & Leadership** + Partner with internal service teams to ensure seamless policy servicing, renewals, and claims advocacy. + Mentor junior staff on entertainment industry nuances and brokerage best practices. + Represent the firm at entertainment industry events, conferences, and networking forums. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, or related field; advanced degree or designations (CPCU, CIC, ARM) preferred. + 15+ years of experience in **P&C insurance brokerage** , with a strong track record in **entertainment industry clients** . + In-depth knowledge of entertainment risks and related coverages (production insurance, event cancellation, media liability, equipment coverage, etc.). + Strong negotiation skills with carriers and underwriters. + Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities. + Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with complex client demands. + Valid P&C license The expected pay range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000 annually and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and work location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
