CBS New York is looking for an innovative and experienced producer to join our team on an interim basis.  The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience creating and launching newscasts.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the vision for daily evening newscasts, including story selection, showcasing, writing and editing Work closely with team members to collaborate on daily content creation and innovation Must be an excellent communicator who is comfortable working with a remote team Must excel under deadline pressure Maintain editorial control and ensure all content meets journalistic standards Respond quickly and effectively to breaking news situations

Qualifications:

Required:

Minimum of 5 years experiencing producing newscasts in a large market Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proven ability to work effectively under deadline pressure Strong editorial judgment and a deep understanding of journalistic ethics Creative and innovative approach to storytelling and production

Preferred:

Experience with AR/VR Familiarity with INews, Edius
