Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

CNBC is looking for an experienced Producer to be responsible for creating, producing, and supervising segments. In this role, you will be an integral part of covering the most significant financial news stories of the day. This position is on the “Closing Bell” team with “Halftime Report” contributions.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the editorial vision of the show each day, including suggesting stories and guests for the showWrite and produce segmentsWork closely with EP, Sr. Producer & Anchor on top level bookingsManage relationship with key guests & contributorsAbility to work with desk & across departments on show logistics & segment executionBecome involved in planning processBe in control room for live broadcast

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.6 years of Editorial experience in a fast-paced news room environment, ability to anticipate and respond quickly to changeStrong understanding of the markets and prior experience at a financial news networkExperience working with anchors & senior management on shows and across departments 

Desired Qualifications:

Possess ability to develop story ideas, research, and plan segments.Strong writing skills.Sound journalistic judgment.Strong time management skills.
