The Role
Condé Nast Traveller is looking for a talented e-commerce focused web producer to join a rapidly growing team to work on its affiliate commerce content. This person is a quick learner of software, very comfortable working from an editorial calendar, proficient at image research and selection, and can quickly build web content in a fast-paced environment.
The role will work with the Condé Nast Traveller Commerce team to source imagery, create galleries and product articles, product listing pages, translate the commerce and service related content from the print magazine to online features, and build commerce web exclusives, daily. They will also be responsible for fixing broken links, dropped articles as well as text and formatting revisions. On occasion, the role may require written contribution, so a strong understanding of editorial writing is required.
Applicants will be expected to be proficient and speedy in all aspects of photographic retouching and with image standard / quality control on multiple channels. They should be comfortable in a studio environment, and show some level of expertise and understanding of Owned and Operated assets. Some additional experience with motion graphics and short-form video animation is also desirable, but not essential.
The successful candidate will also have an endless interest in travel and culture, and a good understanding of the Condé Nast Traveller’s unique identities, and their different audiences.
The Producer will sit with Condé Nast Traveller editorial teams at The Adelphi and report to Condé Nast Traveller’s Commerce Editor.
What will you be doing?
Responsible for the production of digital Commerce products on Condé Nast Traveller, from building Venue and Product cards to articles.
Source and upload on-brand imagery for all commerce content including but not limited to hotel round-ups, venue cards, airbnb listings, and retail shopping pages
Work with the Condé Nast Traveller Commerce team to identify affiliate revenue optimisation opportunities within the title’s Commerce content
Implement SEO updates and optimisations recommended by SEO managers
Manage article syndication schedule and identify new opportunities from other markets
Work closely with editors, photo editors, and writers to gather creative assets for posts, vertical hub ages, social, and newsletters
Ideate plans for key commerce days/holidays and content tentpoles
Resize and retouch image assets
Support editorial team with photo research, sourcing, and credits
Partner with the commerce editors to identify and build key content areas
Create shoppable affiliate links as needed for all distribution channels, track data and share reporting (on-page, newsletter, social, video, etc)
Who you are:
CMS proficient
Confidence with curating product edits
Understanding of SEO optimisation
Knowledge and familiarity of the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop.
Excellent design, layout, photography, or video skills
Experience of affiliate marketing and e-commerce businesses is a plus
Proficiency in copy writing and research is a plus
A passion for Condé Nast Traveller and our core editorial subject areas of travel, culture and more, with an innate grasp of brand tone, voice, and editorial point of view
