Our Elk River site consists of a serene 3,200 acres, with over 20 active buildings, and numerous projects supporting development, manufacturing and testing for Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems Division. Our Manufacturing Engineering team works to continuously improve, support, and maintain manufacturing activities of Medium Caliber Ammunition and Warhead production through a variety of self-directed daily tasks and larger team projects. This role supports 1st shift operations on a 4/10 schedule **Job Description** + Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. + Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. + Confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements. + Coordinates inter-departmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders. **Position Responsibilities** + Resolve materials issues using standard tools and procedures. + Work with a moderate level of direction and guidance. + Manage multiple tasks with a mindset of continual improvement. + Identify raw material and component requirements for production from engineering and production specifications and schedules. + Generate purchase requisitions to support future build needs. + Track material quality and initiate actions to extend or eliminate expiring material. + Coordinate material movement between warehouse and production areas. + Coordinate with purchasing, production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate quantities of materials are always on hand. **Basic Qualifications:** This position emphasizes skills first + Must have 6 years of experience relevant to operations planning and production scheduling.May consider Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of relevant work experience, or master’s degree plus 0 experience. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and other database management software tools. + Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent follow up. + Ability to multitask + U.S. Citizenship is required + Ability to obtain a government Secret Clearance + As a responsible party to ATF, obtain coverage under Safe Explosive Act as employee possessor. Primary Level Salary Range: $64,100.00 - $96,100.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
