Overview Procurement Technology Innovation Sr Manager Responsibilities Emerging technologies are disrupting corporations at a record pace and is innovating the procurement space Record investments globally in Venture Capital/Emerging technologies PEP Labs brings these global solutions into PepsiCo with potential to significantly support growth and performance Expected impact of proven solutions if they successfully scale: >$500MM revenue and >20 billion liters of water Pepsico Labs built a systematic approach to bring emerging technology into PepsiCo and is expanding in digital procurement Consistent and systematic approach applied across key functions: Identify business needs, scout for best-in-class solutions, pilot potential tech unlocks, scale successesful pilots to capture full potential for PepsiCo worldwide To date, Labs model reviewed >2,000 startups, launched >125 pilots and selected 26 solutions to integrate into PEP Tech soutions create competitive advantages in across the value chain – e.g. agro, manufacturing, supply chain, marketing, insights, go-to-market etc. Expanding into co-innovation with established tech companies to approaching emerging tech innovation holistically Therefor, PepsiCo Labs is seeking a PMO to Lead PepsiCo’s Procurement Startup Transformation program with technology vendors across PepsiCo This role will assist the procurement digital transformation teams strategy to deliver $400 million in savings over three years, with $50 billion in scope across indirect, direct, and logistics spend. Support transformation across multiple procurement streams, including supplier relationship management, supplier risk management, supplier sustainability, advanced sourcing capabilities, new AI direct negotiation platforms, orchestration layers, and AI-enabled assistants, agents, and copilots. Co-lead, with Procurement S&T Transformation process selecting vendors for POC/pilot - ensure startup solutions are a ‘big enough idea’ to be top-of-mind for executive sponsors, from selection to completion. Facilitate project kick-offs with procurement vendors to co-lead development of pilot charter - define use case, scope, resources, assign team and align KPIs Lead implementation of Rapid Pilot Process – including collaborating closely with support functions including S&T, InfoSec, Legal Manage procurement POCs/pilots with weekly business partner calls Ensure close tracking of KPIs and reporting/visibility to senior leadership - monthly senior sponsor calls This role requires deep procurement expertise to manage complex projects, conduct technological evaluation, SxS analysis, and functional/non functional requirements. Refine design of scale up process and support implementation of scale up. Lead planning & execution of key program events – immersion sessions, kick-offs, interim & final events with senior leaders and vendors, procurement events and conferences . Create ongoing and inspiring communications on progress to gain executive support & continue infusing innovation culture. 1A. Manage process selecting procurement vendors for POC/pilot Step 1: Select and scout for priority focus areas Ensure strategic terrains, ripe for startup tech innovation, are identified and clear briefs developed Step 2: Meet procurement vendors Ongoing mapping and scouting of the procurement tech landscape Coordinate eco-systems immersions (virtual/in-person) to scout for relevant vendors – right people attend & right timing with effective enagement tools Prioritize and identify potential solutions by staying abreast of the latest market trends and technological advancements. Step 3: Select vendors Consolidate immersion output (selected vendors, initial use cases etc) for sign off from program executive sponsors Capture all the requirements and build process flows to help select best in class vendors Maintain CRM of all startup discussions & status to ensure efficiency for program and ongoing startup engagement 1B. Co-lead, with digital procurement owners, to ensure well-run POCs/pilots Step 1: Prepare for kick off Work with advisory to assign business partner to ‘own pilot’ Support initial discussions introducing business partner and vendors Coordinate with Legal all documentation (e.g., NDAs, MOUs) to ensure adherent to PEP standards and protected from IP Step 2a: Project kick off Facilitate kick-off sessions by Defining use case and objectives for the pilot Setting ways-of-working for rapid decision: e.g., micro-team (DICE framework), milestones, KPIs and timeline) Progress POC/pilot process with weekly business partner calls & monthly senior sponsor calls Act as a bridge between vendors and PEP and remove roadblocks or stepbacks Support vendors & business partners to build effective communications that inspire PEP engagement with the startup (eg., well written presentations/videos oncase for action and opportunity for PepsiCo) Consolidate communications for ongoing advisory updates Step 2b: Use case discovery (when needed, for relevant technologies that are cross functional) Showcase technology internally to PEP experts to discove use-cases Work closely with Digital Procurement leaders to drive decisions Provide external lens to help shape and refine focus areas Develop process flows to identify oppotunuties for innovation Lead process for post pilot evaluation Lead process for scale-up recommendation Refine design of scale up process and support implementation of scale up Refine design of scale-up process Guide business owner through the process and best practices Lead planning & execution of key program events – immersion sessions, kick-offs, interim & final events with senior leaders and vendors Design and execute effective and engaging immersion session Coordinate and lead thorough debriefs with internal attendees and drive selection of vendors to progress to pilot Design program kick-off and events – multi-day events with broad range of attendees Create ongoing and inspiring communications on progress to gain executive support & continue infusing innovation culture in procurement Support executive updates on priority use cases, project status and lessons learned Sector comms on progress with successful pilots and scale up Establish incubation framework for horizon 2 & 3 technologies for procurement to focus on developing PEP specific use cases with strategic vendors Provide guidance to vendor partners on PEP use cases Co-develop with vendors to evaluate and create stage gate process to pilot in real world scenario Secure funding to initiate strategic evaluations and development work Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $118,700 - $198,800. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.
