Procurement Specialist Intern

The Procurement Specialist Intern is responsible for providing general administrative support to various groups in the Procurement and Supply Chain, P&SC organization. The Internship allows for exposure to the Slb P&SC career opportunities within the oil and gas technology industry.
+ Provide administrative support and clerical duties to the Procurement and Supply Chain (P&SC) Manager or Lead.
• Become familiar with business systems and processes within the P&SC Function
• Assist P&SC staff with researching and finding suppliers that produce quality products as needed by the business.
+ Gather and prepare documents like quotes, proposals etc from suppliers for P&SC Lead or Supervisor to review.
• Collect and collate information of key performance indicators.
+ Comply with Slb and local procedures applicable to the job function.
• Conduct yourself and carry out all duties with the highest level of confidentiality and professional integrity.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Logistics/Management, or a related field.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office. Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Previous experience with SAP or any other supply chain management software would be a plus.
• Able to collaborate well with diverse groups of people.
+ Must be able to perform the essential functions in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
