We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions. **Job Summary:** The Procurement Specialist is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to ensure that procurement processes and activities meet standards. This role involves conducting procurement analyses, performing data analysis, and developing and implementing procurement plans. The Procurement Specialist works closely with cross-functional teams to address procurement issues, perform cost analysis, and implement cost-saving measures. Additionally, this role involves training and mentoring procurement staff and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. **The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:** + Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders to execute Purchase Order to vendors and follow up on delivery schedule, with constructive order management approach. + Conduct spend funnel for direct and indirect materials on a regular basis, with developed metrics and dashboards. + Ensure proper maintenance of master data in ERP. + Support SAP Global Requirements and Assist with Data Prep across regions. + Complete procurement reporting, decks when required. + Analyse inventory reports and be responsible to monitor inventory replenishment process. + Ensure that all purchasing activities are compliant with the Procurement procedures and policies. + Analyse spending on suppliers and identify opportunities to achieve saving target. + Proactively investigate continuous improvement on procurement processes. + Support on various Procurement and improvement initiatives. + Assist in logistics arrangement when necessary. + Conduct and track key supplier performance, maintaining long-lasting relationships partnerships with existing suppliers. + Execute and drive supplier sustainability projects and reports to support responsible sourcing. + Define and execute sourcing plans in accordance with strategic sourcing methodology in launching RFQ and RFP process for direct and indirect procurement. + Negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers. + Working with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation. + Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns generating quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes. + Providing solutions to improve and maintain vendor management resulting in the rationalisation and harmonisation of the supply base. + Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisor. + Support XGP requirements and form central point for Africa XGP process. + Manage GEP projects, contracts and pricing. + Develop Systems and Processes for Procurement and Associated Trade Compliance Processes. + Lead Procurement Pillar in Xylem XPS. **Minimum Requirements:** + Minimum Diploma with Supply Chain / Business or related field. + Completed Degree / Diploma in business, logistics, supply chain or related field. + CPIM/CSCP/ APICS Related Qualification. + 10 Years Solid Experience in Procurement and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) + 5 Years Proven experience in international sourcing processes. + Experience working with suppliers and conduct supplier evaluation will be an advantage. **Skills & Competencies** + Proficiency in SAP ERP including MRP and Master Data. + A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies. + Strong negotiation skills. + Sound time-management and organizational skills. + Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge in iScala will be an advantage. + Possess continuous improvement mindset. + A good team player with good analytical thinking, meticulous and follow up skills. + Initiative-taking and able to work independently under fast-paced environment. + Able to work independently, must multitask under minimal supervision.
