The Opportunity

This role offers a senior-level strategic opportunity to lead the transformation of procurement processes, address affiliate challenges, and act as a key advisor to internal leaders and the face of the organization to suppliers. With a global network and end-to-end perspective, the incumbent will co-create innovative solutions to benefit patients and healthcare systems.

Responsibilities

This role holds integral responsibility for the procurement strategy and execution for the Pharma and Diagnostics divisions in Ecuador. The position requires advanced and autonomous management, ensuring full compliance with local and global policies.

Lead and manage all procurement activities for Roche’s Pharma and Diagnostics divisions in Ecuador, ensuring alignment with local, regional, and global initiatives.

Serve as the primary liaison and point of contact for procurement processes, engaging with senior management, key stakeholders, and strategic suppliers to ensure quality relationships and outcomes.

Negotiate and manage supplier contracts in collaboration with the legal department, while driving continuous process improvement and addressing gaps proactively.

Promote efficiency by coordinating self-service tools for procurement and enabling the adoption of innovative solutions.

Ensure compliance with Roche's local and global regulations, safeguarding the company's reputation.

Who you are

University degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in strategic procurement and category management, preferably in a leadership role or with a high level of responsibility.

Advanced English (required).

Advanced knowledge of SAP (procurement modules) and proficiency in MS Office.

Strong influencing, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage conflicts and align high-level stakeholders.

Strategic business vision, proactivity, and a demonstrated ability to navigate complex environments and prioritize effectively.

Capacity to build strong partnerships and networks, with a focus on achieving results through systems thinking.

Autonomy, professional judgment, and a high degree of ownership in decision-making.
