Procurement Specialist

We are hiring for a Procurement Specialist to work within out Africa Procurement team.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for a portfolio of sub-categories that will be critical to Aggreko. You will own the supply relationships, raise POs for demand created by the manufacturing function, expediting goods and materials.

What you’ll do:

Own a portfolio of suppliers and sub-categories to ensure continued supply & performance is managed appropriately.  Lead supplier performance management process with key suppliersManage potential discrepancies, shortages and other day-to-day issues that may arise as and when required.Develop a good working knowledge of the tools and processes that form part of a Buyer’s daily responsibilities.Pro-active management of supplier pricing and negotiating where required, and keeping pricing updated in MRP.

You’ll have the following skills and experience: 

Experience within a procurement and category management environmentSupplier contract terms knowledge (i.e. payment terms, guarantees, insurance, liabilities etc.)Knowledge of source-to-pay processes including Sourcing, Contracting, invoicing, payment and Supplier Management.Experience setting KPIs and monitoring them while driving excellence.Leading and developing direct reportsCompliance Driven approach across the Procurement Spends for the country
