Procurement Specialist
Description We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana, and contribute to the success of our real estate and property operations. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in managing procurement activities, streamlining purchasing processes, and ensuring efficient contract negotiations. Your expertise in procurement functions will drive impactful results and support our business objectives. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize operations and maintain compliance with company policies. • Prepare, review, and manage purchase orders in alignment with organizational needs. • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate favorable contract terms and build long-term partnerships. • Monitor procurement activities to ensure quality standards and delivery deadlines are consistently met. • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. • Provide guidance and support to internal teams regarding procurement policies and best practices. • Resolve issues related to procurement, contracts, or supplier performance in a timely and effective manner. Requirements • Proven experience in corporate procurement, purchasing, or a related field. • Strong knowledge of procurement functions, including contract negotiations and vendor management. • Proficiency in preparing and managing purchase orders with attention to detail. • Ability to navigate buying processes and ensure compliance with organizational guidelines. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain supplier relationships. • Analytical mindset to evaluate market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities. • Familiarity with procurement regulations and industry standards. • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related discipline is preferred.
