We require an experienced Procurement Officer to join our project team. This is a Monday to Friday role for a local Darwin resident.

The Opportunity
The Supply Chain team is responsible for supporting the Project in achieving its full potential by supporting the delivery of value through supply chain and procurement improvement initiatives.
As the Procurement Specialist you will be based on site as part of Darwin Shiplift Project and will play a vital role in the supply chain, being the integral link between the Supply chain team and the Site Construction group ensuring accurate, cost effective and efficient procurement of materials, goods and services whilst also supporting the Supply Chain team in achieving project cost and scheduled targets.
Key Responsibilities
SAP ERP Systems Monitor MR/PR creation and process through to PO approvals Checks integrity of data in RFS for conversion to Purchase Orders Ensures accurate and timely production/release of PO’s to Suppliers Provide ad-hoc analytics and fulfilling SAP data requests Issues Purchase Orders and applicable attachments via Document Control process. Review planned expenditure against budget and obtain approval for all procurements. Works with Department Heads to identify timelines required in the procurement of goods and services Expedite deliveries with suppliers as required Manages cost and schedule variations including project approvals and issue of Purchase Order revisions Undertake designated administrative duties associated with Supply Chain and Procurement
Required Skills
Min 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Tertiary education certificate in admin related subjects – Business, Commercial, Supply Chain or Procurement Sound understanding of Procurement, Cost and Stock Control procedures. Experience in Microsoft Office and SAP The ability to respond to the changing needs of others, or the business, while maintaining a high standard of quality Sound interpersonal skills, with good communication skills coupled with a professional attitude to deliver high standards Well-developed time management skills Flexibility and mobility, whilst being process oriented Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of the role Construction White card
