Job Title: Procurement Specialist
Job Description

The Procurement Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods. This position is specifically aligned with a large-scale project in Ontario, while primarily operating from the Calgary office. Responsibilities include managing existing contracts, overseeing the bid process, assisting project teams with receipt entries into JDE, tracking and claiming rebates, and nurturing positive vendor relationships.

ResponsibilitiesManage existing contracts and oversee the bid process.Support project teams with receipt entries into JDE.Track and claim rebates efficiently.Assist with project-specific and estimating requirements.Monitor trends and develop positive vendor relationships.Issue purchase orders and manage existing vendors.Drive tasks forward independently and maintain a task-oriented approach.Essential Skills5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in T&D, electrical, or renewables.Experience in material and equipment purchases, such as conductor hardware and steel structures.Ability to cut purchase orders for general work and new initiatives.Proficiency in running the full RFx process.ERP experience is essential.Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExposure to expediting processes to ensure timely deliveries.Experience with JD Edwards is beneficial.Business Certificate, Diploma, or Degree.Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality concerning financial and commercial terms.Work Environment

The Procurement Specialist will join a team of approximately eight people, excluding material technicians at different sites. The role involves supporting a suite of projects in Ontario and is closely tied to the broader support organization for substations and renewables. The work environment is flexible, allowing individuals to shape their position according to their strengths and preferences. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
