Description We are looking for a dedicated Procurement Specialist to join our team in New York, New York, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will work closely with the Procurement Manager to support purchasing activities and assist in managing contracts, bids, and proposals. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in procurement or supply chain and excellent analytical skills. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to oversee purchasing processes and ensure compliance with organizational standards. • Prepare and manage requests for proposals (RFPs), ensuring accuracy and timely submission. • Evaluate bids and proposals to recommend the best options for the organization. • Assist in negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong vendor relationships. • Maintain and update procurement documentation, including contracts and purchase orders. • Monitor and analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency. • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure procurement needs are met effectively and promptly. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze procurement metrics and generate reports. • Support ad-hoc procurement projects and initiatives as assigned. • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to enhance procurement strategies. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field. • Proven experience with corporate purchasing processes and procurement functions. • Strong knowledge of contract negotiations and RFP processes. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with vendors and internal teams. • Analytical mindset to evaluate bids, proposals, and procurement data. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
