Procurement Specialist
Description We are looking for a remote skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including IT teams, executives, and VPs, to optimize procurement processes and drive improvements. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to process enhancements while managing contract renewals and administrative tasks. Responsibilities: • Engage with stakeholders, including executives and IT teams, to understand procurement needs and provide effective solutions. • Manage contract renewals, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the process. • Oversee administrative tasks such as ticket management and drafting standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement enhancements to optimize workflows. • Analyze large agreements and negotiate contracts to align with organizational goals. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the source-to-pay process. • Utilize tools like Workday, Tableau, and Jira to streamline procurement activities. • Prepare reports and insights using data visualization platforms such as Looker or Tableau. • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procurement best practices. • Maintain familiarity with various industries to bring diverse perspectives to procurement strategies. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or related fields. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large agreements and contracts. • Familiarity with procurement tools and systems like Workday, Jira, and Tableau. • Experience in SaaS or technology procurement is highly desirable. • Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations and adapt to evolving processes. • Understanding of the source-to-pay process and contract negotiation strategies. • Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all organizational levels. • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau is a plus.
