**Job Overview:** The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the purchase of goods and services on purchase request orders submitted by the various departments withing the project purview. This individual is responsible for a myriad of processes including supply chain management, evaluating suppliers and contract negotiation. **Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:** + Receive and submit purchase requisitions (PR's) for quotes. + Process purchase orders once quote is received + Follow-up to ensure materials/services are received in good quality and quantity requested and delivered to the right place at the right time. + Evaluate suppliers to ensure they are in the system (JDE, COUPA) + Negotiate cost to ensure that approved purchases are cost-efficient. + Maintain good relations with customers/vendors + Reconcile purchasing card receipts. + Maintain purchase order files to ensure compliance **Basic Qualifications:** + High School diploma or equivalent. + Completion of related technical courses equivalent to a two (2) year Associate Degree preferred. + 1-3 years previous experience acceptable for role. + 3-5 years of experience full proficiency in role. + Must possess a valid California driver's license. + Utilize catalogs and parts manual to obtain stock numbers, parts and materials accurately and efficiently. + Ability to use good judgment and common sense when performing job functions. + Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. + Ability to be accurate in all phases of work performed. + Microsoft Office proficiency. + The applicant may be required to demonstrate competency in above listed areas prior to employment. + Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English. + Must have excellent verbal communication skills. **ABOUT APTIM** APTIM is committed to accelerating the transition toward a clean and efficient energy economy, building a sustainable future for our communities and natural world, and creating a more inclusive and equitable environment that celebrates the diversity of our communities.
