**What You’ll Do:**
Main Purpose of Job :
+ First line responder; pivots between strategy, operations and transactional sourcing
+ Execute against category strategies and work in the guidance of strategic category leaders
+ Manage SOWs/RFI's/Ordering documents. Assist with supplier selection.
+ Manage day to day supply issues. Analyses possible solutions using standard procedures. Communicates pertinent information to both internal customers and suppliers to keep apprised and to prevent problems.
+ Support PO conversion – Issue PO in Oneapp
+ Educate on existing solutions and enable performance and tech tools development
+ PO change management and communicate trends of changes
+ Enable supplier integration and KPI's
+ Drive savings outcomes
+ Collaboration with functions
+ Create and implement RFPs.
+ Proactively identifies areas of opportunity for new business opportunities, process improvement, and cost efficiencies.
+ Considered an SME of categories under their responsibilities.
+ Support purchasing CAPEX.
**Impact of the position:**
+ Applies experience and procurement knowledge to execute the purchasing and supply management strategies created by the Category Managers.
+ Work with customers, internal and external, and the other LATAM sites to solve issues and drive high levels of customer service.
+ This role will work across multiple regional projects of category.
+ The position will be responsible for Strategic work, but withsome administrative task of documentation.
+ The Specialist has delegated authority to commit company funds while contributing cost savings and partnerships with suppliers and internal customers.
+ Leads initiatives.
+ Proactively seek innovative ways to improve the procurement processes, cycle times, and customer service levels
+ Full understanding of the "One Procurement" strategies. Strong knowledge and project work across multiple categories that impact the team positively.
+ Works within defined processes and procedures and may help determine appropriate approaches for change
+ Core Job Responsibilities:
+ Implement agreed purchasing strategies for category to create savings
+ Supply assurance.
+ Seek and support business relationships with diverse suppliers
+ Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.
+ Executes against the goals set by the Category Leads/Managers.
+ Seek innovative ways to maintain and improve procurement processes, cycle times, total acquisition costs, and customer service levels.
+ Drive value and savings for categories
**You will report to the Mexico Procurement Manager.**
**Required Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will require the following qualifications:

• Excellent negotiating skills
• Minimum of 3 years’ of Procurement experience. Functional experience.
• Proactive internal and external stakeholder communication, coordination and collaboration
• Strong project management skills
• Lead cross-functional program teams
• Good verbal, written communication skills. Ability to interface with and influence multiple areas, external and internal to Abbott is essential.
• Regional vision of the interactions in a demanding environment
• Robust people skills that include developing strong relationships and solving problems.
• Strong use of spreadsheet programs, POWER BI desirable.
• Interdisciplinary, intercultural, influence, and networking skills
• Experience with Supplier management
• Knowledge of category technologies and products. Knowledge of regulatory, compliance and market access requirements linked to product sourcing in support of building sourcing strategies
**Qualifications:**
• BA or equivalent experience required: MBA desirable
• Successful, 3+ year of procurement experience
• Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or similar certification desirable
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with high-level working knowledge of SAP R/3 desirable.
